Orientation and the meeting with principal

I was rescued from a paper box and took a photo with my new classmates.

My classmates held a party to welcome me . I was quite impressed that everybody was in high spirits to welcome me and they looked so friendly. I felt the party make me involred faster and I look foward to my new life in KSVS very much.
Finally , thanks Mars、Irose and ChouChou for arranging the party for me and I am greatly delight about it.

With principal's interview
Today we had an interviews with the principal in the principal's office. I was nervous when we entered the principa’s office. When we sat down to begin the interview , MARS has already begun the camera recorded.

The following were our questions and the principal`s answers.

Q1:It`s os very difficult for the students to take part in international exchange projects because most of the opportunities are limted to a few classes so we would like to know if our school will start a club to let everybody join us?

Q2:Have you participated in any international exchange project ? Does it leave a deep impression on you ? Or have you heard of some extraordinary international exchange activites ?

Q3:Principal . Do you have any suggestion for us about this international project ?
Principal's answer: In the next year, our school will have a network of communication channels, the school will set up a special classroom so that more students can use the large space and join the project with us.

Principal's answer:First I am one of the IEARN members and our school has participated in international exchange activities in Japan and we had the Turkish students visit KIHS in 2009.By attending international exchange activities, we realized difference between us and foreign student and we have to improve ourselves in many areas, such as the waste problem and student’s manners. In sum, I would like the students in KIHS to improve themselves, enhance their ability, expand their horizons, experience the world, and express themselves.

Principal: We can invite other students form a "sister school" to discuss common issues of concerns in modern society, to exchange ideas in English. We study and ask questions to improve our English. This way, not only English proficiency is improving but we can be connected to the global community.
At the meeting with principal of KIHS. I know that as the saying goes ’’Never give up when we were do everything”” we must try to do something that challenges us and experience doing the project that we can realize what we are actually leaving about. I will continue my efforts and stay focused on the project. We will do our best.

For a one-day tour Kaohsiung.BY B-ling

　　B-ling and I went on a tour on this weekend. For a one-day tour, we went to the Love River, Central Park, Urban Spotlight and Shinkchan. First, we went to the Central Park by taking the KMRT, and shopped in Shinkchan. There were a lot of stores. We could buy everything we wanted there. Some stores offered everybody many kind of games. I competed in the basketball game with B-ling competition. Haha, we enjoyed the game. How wonderful it was to go to there!

　Second, we went to the movies in OPEN MTV. What is OPEN MTV? It is a place where people can watch the movies and lie comfortably as there are pillows and quilt. It seemed like an average, but it was actually very special. B-ling said, “I like OPEN MTV despite the fact that its movies are old.” I could not agree with her more. Third, when I was hungry, B-ling would buy delicious food at Central Park Hills. We ate food and watched dancing shows together. At night, we watched some music shows and drank coffee in Urban Spotlight just near Central Park. The coffee was too expensive to get another one. It cost B-ling NT$70.

　　Finally, on the way to the Love River, we saw the TALEES Dapartment Store and Kaohsiung Municipal Girls'Senior High School, they were close to the Love River. The TALEES Dapartment Store is a fancy and shinny building. We sang the song happily and went to the Love River. At the Love River, we saw the beautiful sence and took the Love Boat. We rode on the Love Boat crossing five bridge that had different styles. The tour is so funny that I want to visist Kaohsiung more and more often. My friends in National Taitung Senior High School can not miss it!

Department of Mechanical Drafting

Hello,
My name is Momo. My friend, Cooky, Roy, study in Kaohsiung industrial high school. He would like to introduce me his department, Mechanical Drafting.

Our department office is behind us.

There are many courses that they have to studied, such as computer drafting, hand drafting and also how to operate the machine. There are also many hard-working teachers. They try their best to teach. Cooky really appreciates them. The students of the department also have many interesting activities here, for instance, welcome party and graduation party.They will perform at the parties. It always becomes a memorable memory. Cooky told me that they often under great pressure, but without that they couldn’t learn so many things. Although the schoolwork is difficult and heavy. They will accomplish their goals in the near future.

What we have learned.

I am living in Kaohsiung now. In the mechanical drafting department, there are many hard-working teachers, such as Mr. Li, Mr. Liu, Mr. Wu and Mr. Wei. They have a variety of characters. They have their own teaching styles, but they all try their best to teach students.

In my class, Mr. Li teaches mechanics. Mr. Liu teaches component-principle. At the same time, they also teach students perspectives of life. Sometimes, they tell jokes or share their own story of life.

I met these teachers and I learned many things including the outlook on life and some professional knowledge. Though they are strict to students, they are really concerned about students. I had a great time with these teachers. They are very kind and funny.

I walking on campus .There were many building and giant trees in the school .In department of Mechanical Drafting, I felt it very clean and comfortable .And there teachers are very earnest in teaching students .It was a great learning environment .
Which helps students learn .Students always clean up surroundings before leaving the school .Students are very lively in the Municipal Kaohsiung Senior Vocational Industrial High School .

Cooky also take some photoes with me.We have already known each other and become friends. We really enjoy the time when we get along . I believe I will learn their costoms and have a wonderful trip here in Kaohsiung Industrial High school. The mechanical drafting department is full of joys and happy.

Opening the package of Momo

A few days ago, we received the package from Taichung senior high school. Therefore, we had to open the package. A while later, we found a teddy bear, a Travel Passport, a dairy about the bear, an envelope, a brief introduction of Taichung senior high school and some desserts in the package. The bear’s color is beige which is dressed in a pink dress. It is smaller than ours, but it is cute. The dessert is called Custard apple cake. It is a kind of sweet pastries that taste delicious.


This is my first participation in such an activity. I think it is a special experience, and it is fun. When my classmates and I knew the package had arrived at the homeroom teachers’ office, we felt very excited. We carried the parcel to our class. We opened the package in front of the class and shared the happy mood together. That was really a wonderful experience. With all our hearts, we would like to be the ones opening the package again.

Farewell Party For Nicholas

Today, I would leave my birth place, Kaohsiung Industrial High School. My classmate prepared the farewell party. When I entered the classroom, every classmate turned her head looking at me. When I walked to the stage, they threw flowers into air to welcome me. They were excited to hear my speech. I said, I appreciate what my classmate had done for me. I am so lucky that classmate. I don`t knew how to reward my favorite classmates. The next day I took a lot of groceries with me including cookie, candy, local snacks of Kaohsiung and something delicious. Everyone said goodbye to me. I think of it as a memorable experience in my life.

Farewell Party for Nicholas

Nicholas will leave us. Everyone is unwilling. We didn’t get along with each other for a month，and didn’t know each other completely. But it’s time for him to go next school.
There is a farewell party hold by Mechanical Drafting Department class B Kaohsiung Industrial High School. The students of this class prepared lots of performances for Nicholas. He is excited about that，and we took so many pictures together. Although the destination is not far from here. Nicholas feels really sad he is going to separate with us. He crying with Shone，Scott and Eric. Students in Kaohsiung Industrial High School hope him can make more friends on his journey，and always be in touch in his leisure time.
