My school lunch

We had delicious lunch at school today. The dishes were greasy, and not to boring. Although the school lunch was greasy sometimes, the food we had today was quite healthy. It was a hot noon and I almost lost my appetite, but I still had a lot of rice. I was so happy to have my classmate, Monica, help me fill my lunch box with rice.

How to order food in Kaohsiung

I learned how to order Meal in Kaohsiung Today. We went to the restaurant and sat down at the dinner table. We could see the pens and menus on the table. First, we wrote down our table number in the lattice. For example, Table 2. Table numbers were usually in the corner of the table. If I wanted to eat the meals, I painted a horizontal line in the small or large lattice. If I felt like not eating enough and I could write “Increase in rice” in the box of “Notes”. Then I sent menu to the counter. Some restaurants asked the customers to pay giving money first and then served meals. Some restaurants would serve first and you paid before you left.

Today is saturday. My friends and I worked did the painting of school together.Saying honesty，it is very fun to do homework with friends at school on holiday.
When I was tired of painting a picture,I could chat with friends. Or we did sometimes bad things,such as secretly playing the computer game.Time flew and it was noon.We went to eat lunch.We went to a restaurant(Sell Noodle) for lunch.I ordered two packets of noodles, a cabbage.Why we loved this restaurant most?There were many comics!They even had the latest comic.It was very impressive. Finally, we returned to school to complete the picture.

NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM

Today, I and some student who studying in Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Industrial high school go to Nation Science And Technology Museum together. There is interesting. The exhibition in there is about Mars, Machinery, Foods and Breast-feeding. We mainly go to which side is going to see Machinery Exhibition. It exciting about the exhibition. There are a lot of machine example scooters and mechanical arm. And some exhibits can be use. So I know some knowledge about machinery now.

One of the exhibition is about earthquake. We plan to look at the original experience the feeling of the earthquake. But we don’t have enough time. So …

Movie

After I went to the Nation Science And Technology Museum, I prepare to watch movies with Tony Poky and Kevin. We gathered near the theater. After everyone come, we are going to buy some dessert and drink. We look at what point in the discussion of film, finally, we decide to watch Ip Man. It talc about Chinese martial who in order not to insult by foreign spirit of Chinese martial arts, even the face of strong enemy, still no to fear, stand and fight. It touched me and it made me learn how to respect others.

With principal's interview
Today we had an interviews with the principal in the principal's office. I was nervous when we entered the principa’s office. When we sat down to begin the interview, MARS has already begun the camera recorded.
The following were our questions and the principal`s answers.

Q1:It`s os very difficult for the students to take part in international exchange projects because most of the opportunities are limted to a few classes so we would like to know if our school will start a club to let everybody join us?
Q2: Have you participated in any international exchange project? Does it leave a deep impression on you? Or have you heard of some extraordinary international exchange activites?
Q3: Principal. Do you have any suggestion for us about this international project?

Principal's answer 1: In the next year, our school will have a network of communication channels, the school will set up a special classroom so that more students can use the large space and join the project with us.

Principal's answer 2: First I am one of the IEARN members and our school has participated in international exchange activities in Japan and we had the Turkish students visit KIHS in 2009.By attending international exchange activities, we realized difference between us and foreign student and we have to improve ourselves in many areas, such as the waste problem and student’s manners. In sum, I would like the students in KIHS to improve themselves, enhance their ability, expand their horizons, experience the world, and express themselves.

Principal’s answer: We can invite other students form a "sister school" to discuss common issues of concerns in modern society, to exchange ideas in English. We study and ask questions to improve our English. This way, not only English proficiency is improving but we can be connected to the global community.

At the meeting with principal of KIHS. I know that as the saying goes ’’Never give up when we were do everything”” we must try to do something that challenges us and experience doing the project that we can realize what we are actually leaving about. I will continue my efforts and stay focused on the project. We will do our best.

English Singing Contest & Fashion & Hobbies

Today, I attended a English Singing Contest .We draw lots deciding that we were the second group .In the afternoon, after we finished lunch, we went to the stadium for hearsal .Everybody sacrificed the afternoon nap, to win the honor! I noticed my classmates attentive practice. I was touched.

As time passed, the contest started soon .The nervous mood was filled with our heart! When we heared the words,” welcome
MD ClassB, “the contest started .The music began, everyone with a slight smile on their face sang with witty and active motions.

This was a successful performance .Although the result wasn’t Good as we expected, at least we had tried hard .I enjoy the
Life in MD ClassB.






I went to Shinkuchan which is teenagers go there to buy their clothes, shoes and some decoration. I saw some pretty and fashionable be sold there. Many people dressed themselves with Japanese and Korea style. Many people think it is fashionable to imitate Japanese and Korea style nowadays. They buy their decoration use not only market but internet auction.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is hot issue in Taiwan. Many students discuss it with their classmates. They watched TV broadcast everyday even if burning the midnight oil.




I lived in KIHS MD2 that I interpret their hobbies in their Daily Life.
They always play the computers game such as “Plants Vs Zombies” or “War craft III”. They always draft about Mechanical by computer. Many girls like chat and many boys like fight in dismissing class.



The weather is so hot in Taiwan. Many people didn’t like do exercise under sun. There is a sport not be hot. It is swimming. A lot of students went to swimming after school so am I.

My Hometown

Today, Tina, Wendy, Lynn and me, got up so early because we wanted to took a trip in Kaohsiung and introduce you the city.

At first, we took the MRT to R22A Ciaotou Sugar Refinery. It was pretty large and green. But, today was a cloudy and humid day. So we did not walk around in Ciaotou Sugar Refinery, and we did not hear any chirp or insects’ sound. We were so disappointed. It rained all day long.

Next destination, was R16 Zuoying. After we walked out of the MRT cab met, I saw an enormous triceratop. It as big as a car! Wow, it was my first time to saw such as a huge creature. At R16 Zuoying, there was a painting exhibition. In addition, we took a lot of pictures. I loved them with a lot of creativity in their inventions. Maybe next time, as you come, you can take pictures here, too. I think you will like it very much.

It was twelve o’clock now. We had to go to the New Era to have a lunch because we were extremely hungry. Actually, only Tina did not stopped saying that she was hungry. There are a McDonald's in the New Era so we went there to have lunch. During the lunch, we had lots of fun because I took some humorous pictures with Wendy, Lynn and Tina. They made many ugly faces and I deeply felt losing face. After the lunch, we went to the sixth floor and there are two big robots named Gundam. Gundam was a character of the animation made by the Japanese. It was so cool and amazing to visit them. Tina is the most amazed and excited person of all. Wendy stopped Tina from rushing to that many times. It was a funny condition. For this reason, we did not leave the New Era until the afternoon. When we left the New Era, it stopped raining. However, the weather was still cloudy. We were worried about the weather all the time. Afterwards, we took the MRT to the Central Park. I regard as Central Park being a Distinctive MRT station because there was a beautiful escalator. The escalator had a running water slope. It was terribly beautiful!! I saw many visitors take pictures with it when they passed through the Central Park. You can see that behind me. I hope you also love the escalator.

Family Life

Reading in Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day. Sunny, Polly, Sandra and MP went to school. They studied because the mid-term is coming soon. They studied so hard. But today is Mother’s Day; they should hold the party for their Mom. Why did they go to school to study? They would have a fascinating cake show. When I heard cake, my eyes were shining. You said “A big cake.” I can’t wait. Let’s go home now. No! No! No! Sunny said. We should study now. That’s right. Wonderful time was worth waiting.

At night, everyone went to a seafood store and had all kinds of seafood in Cijin. Such as fresh fish, fry shrimp and fish soup. The dinner was really delicious. Everyone felt full. My tripe is boom.
Afterwards, we walked to the beach. Cool wind was blowing. How comfortable it was! We took many beautiful photos. Then, Sunny and I took out a big cake. Polly lighted the candle. Everyone was around her Mama. Happy Mother’s Day everyone said their Mamas were touched and cried.

When I opened the door, Sandra’s family welcomed me passionately. I was so happy. Wow! I saw a sway massage machine. The machine belonged to Sandra’s Mama who wanted to lose weights. When I stood on the machine, it shook my body. It was so funny and made me dizzy. Afterward, I felt hungry. I opened the refrigerator. There were many kinds of food and drinks, especially Coca-Cola. Ha! So good.

At eight o’clock, we sat on sofa and watched TV. I wore a head’s massage machine on my head. How cute I was! The
machine could play relaxing songs. It made me relaxed, and my feet were massaged. It was so itchy. Ha~ha~ha
At eleven o’clock, Sandra’s sister, Sandra and I went to bed. The bed was comfortable. Sandra and I slept together. I fell asleep soon. The next day morning, I was shy and sorry because I kicked Sandra while sleeping.

Family Life
Hi, I’m Momo. Today, I visited Sunny’s home, when I open the door﹐ I met Sunny’s father and her dog, Dodo, Dodo was looking at her father, driveling because her father was eating the snack ”dried codfish”. I thought0 Dodo was a very greedy dog. And then I smelt the flavor from the kitchen.

I saw the Sunny’s Mom is cooking the dinner that looked very delicious. I couldn’t wait to eat. Later, Sunny’s Mom finished cooking. Everyone ran to the kitchen getting ready to eat the delicious dinner. During the dinner, Sunny’s family were talking about what happened today and watching TV. Then, each of the family members did their own routine acted. Sunny’s brother is going to bath. But he likes a woman because he spent so much time taking a bath. I was very impatient. Finally, he was done, but he continued to have fun. He went to the room to play the computer. His life looked so leisurely.

Knock! Knock! I came in. Sunny was drawing and reading the book in the room. The book she read looked so hard. Mom was washing the clothes. Papa was reading the newspaper. My younger brother was playing the computer and DoDo was playing the ball that red ball.
But at 8:00, everyone gathered in front of the television to watch the soap opera — “Parents Heart in the world” happily. At 10:00.It was time to go to bed. Because “the early bird catches worms”


What I Do At Home
Polly and I go home together after school every day. And she always has to use computer to do the homework of mechanical drafting at first after dinner. It’s for sure it is a tiring work, and strains eyes.

And then we often surf the Internet to You Tube that has a lot of movies and music. We casually search for any key words, and connect to YAHOO and it’s convenient to get useful information. For example, we search for many jokes and novels that they always make us belly laugh; reading the online news let us know the current events, and e-mail enables us to share and funny things with our friend. And we also watch the funny dramas on TV, which makes us laugh; sometimes we listen to music that relieve our pressure when we are tired with studying. On the weekend, Polly’s family and she help each other water the plants, and do the chores such as brooming and sweeping the floor, washing the dishes and boilers, taking out the trash, and folding the clothes in the morning. She can sometimes consult her cousin about homework and learn a lot. What a solid life!

Let’s do the volunteer work together

Lynn and Wendy are volunteers working in office. They go to the military officers after lunch daily to sweep and mop the floor, wipe the window and cupboard, water the plants, wash the lid of trash can and clean the teapot. They sometimes deliver messages to other classes. When they have to do more important assignments, they can ask for leave.

Sometimes, Lynn and Wendy share secret with each other, or complain about something they hate. During the time, they can chat about anything they do not want others to know. Certainly, they feel exhausted when they want to sleep during the lunch break, and then they will complain and do not want to be volunteers any more. However, though complaining they still enjoy being volunteers. In addition, they have a good relationship with the military officers. What’s better, they often chat and tell jokes together. The funniest joke is that strangely Mr. Zhen always fails to tell the difference between Lynn and Wendy. In fact, Lynn and Wendy are not sisters or twins. They do not even bear any resemblance.

Ms. Lee is responsibility for monitoring their service hours. Look at the picture! She is very beautiful, is not she? She is also gentle and treats them generously. She was excited when Lynn and Wendy introduced me to her.

There were three boys in the picture. They were too shy. Wendy did not stop taking pictures until all the boys look at the camera. Perhaps, Wendy was not satisfied with the photos. See! The boys did not look at the camera at all. Opps! I forget to introduce them. They are also volunteers. They are responsibility for taking out the garbage. Why they started talking to Lynn and Wendy? Because: Wendy sometimes helps them to clean the garbage when the garbage becomes too much. But I think the main reason is that Wendy often does strange and funny things. For instance, she falls down from time to time, and she sometimes holds a drink which is not opened and asks them,” Do you want to drink?” Once, the boy responded, “I would like to throw up.” It made me laugh. In fact, the drink was not expired yet. Wendy is strange, is not she?

Shh…… look at the picture! I almost reached the food this. Unfortunately, I was caught by Wendy. I was so hungry then. But I was not allowed to eat. Next time! I will make it. Ha ha!

We visited the principal because Lynn, Tina and Wendy wanted to introduce Ruth and me to him. On May 26th, the principal was available. Wendy ask the principal what they have to improve in the project. The principal replied, “ You are very good” and encouraged them. Nevertheless, they still believed could do better.

Finally, let me tell you a piece of good news. I have a new friend, Mr. Brownie, who came from Taipei.
